This terrific Necklace displays a 36mm Sterling & Copper Pendant by Nevada Silversmith Jim Daggett. The Pendant is 2-sided, with each side displaying a traditional Navajo design. One side has Hammered Sterling applied over a Copper base with a cut-out of three Interlinked Crescent Moons; the second side has two Interlinked Sterling Circles displayed on a Polished Copper base. The Hammered Sterling has attractive texture and patterns, contrasting nicely with the polished metals. The Pendant is suspended on a Sterling Silver Pin — allowing it to rotate freely — and flanked at both ends by Sterling Silver Rounds.
The Pendant is paired with 3 strands of 4mm Turquoise Heishi. The Heishi displays a variety of blue & blue-green hues with traces of golden brown. It is beautifully cut and polished to a soft sheen. The Heishi is ornamented with 7 styles of Czech Glass Beads, including:
- 4 & 6mm luminous green Druk Glass Rounds;
- Sage green 8mm Druk Glass Rounds;
- Twilight Capri blue 6mm Fire Polished Glass Faceted Ovals;
- Halo Heavens (3mm), Halo Shadows (4mm), and transparent green (3mm) Fire Polished Glass Faceted Ovals.
These beads add color depth, translucency and subtle sparkle. The Heishi is further complemented by six 6mm Sterling Silver Rounds, and two 12-by-14mm Sterling Silver Stamped Teardrops. The Sterling adds attractive shine. At the top of the Necklace the Turquoise Heishi transitions to transparent green Fire Polished Glass Faceted Ovals, streamlining the silhouette and ensuring a comfortable fit. The Necklace is finished with a Hammered Sterling Silver Toggle Clasp and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 80 grams and is 23-1/4 inches long plus the Pendant, which is 36mm or 1.4 inches in diameter.
