Each piece of silverware will be hand polished, hand stamped, darkened and cleaned again, meausred, hand drilled and cut, hand sanded smooth, and will have a stainless steel split ring and key ring added. A final process of tumbling will shine up the finished piece.
I personally hand stamp all of the lettering and designs in my NJ studio. Each letter and design is hand aligned and hammered into the metal, so the placement of the wording and designs will vary slightly from piece to piece. After stamping, I darken the impressions so they stand out. To retain the contrast, it is highly recommended that the piece is not exposed to excessive moisture. Vintage silverware is prone to tarnishing. Use a soft cloth with or without silver polish to buff it shiny again.
